Additional Quarter Exam Review
Ch 5 Test Corrections
You may complete Chapter 5 test corrections following the test correction procedure previously outlined. Please take a moment and review the procedure - particularly the portion dealing with types of errors. You may only correct the non-multiple choice questions. Corrections must be submitted no later than April 4th, by the end of the school day and no credit will be issued for corrections that do not follow the procedure.
Quarter Exam Review - Part 1
Tonight, you should review special right triangles, which we covered after the end of Chapter 4 when we discussed the Pythagorean Theorem. If you are having trouble completing the problems to solve the riddle, you can go to Khan Academy and review special right triangles there. The entire section has about 31.5 minutes of video to watch. There is also some practice available.
Tomorrow, I will be happy to answer any questions over special right triangles and we will review the Pythagorean Theorem and Chapter 5. You can use your Chapter 5 Test Corrections as a study tool as well.

Cubs Field Trip
We will be collecting money for the field trip on Thursday and Friday. The cost is $15 per student, which includes transportation and ticket. You can pay me in cash. Please try to have exact change, as I will not have alot of change. If you are unable to pay within the time frame, please see me personally.
As a reminder, the game we will be attending is on May 19th. Please make sure you can attend on this date prior to paying, as we won't be able to issue refunds once tickets are purchased.
6.5 Classwork Answers & Proof
You can find answers to the classwork here.
If you didn't write down the prompt for the proof, you can find that here.
Also, several of you have not made up the Ch 6 quiz. I am grading those over the weekend. If you do not have it taken care of by then, you will not be able to make it up. I will be here Wednesday after school to allow make-ups. If you are unable to attend, you need to schedule a separate time to make-up the quiz ASAP.

Recurrence Relations Project
Recurrence Relations Project
Patterns are everywhere. Some are manmade while others are natural. The Golden ratio is a common example of the natural pattern that exists in the world. It is proof that math is not created but inherent in nature. Throughout history, the Golden Ratio and other patterns have been used in art, architecture, and music. Your final work must be submitted by the beginning of class on Monday, 3/20. Everyone should be turning in an 11x17 poster with their final work. If you have any questions, please email me.
Golden Ratio or General Pattern
This project is comprised of two parts as described below.Part 1
Discover the Golden ratio and other patterns on your own. Use the world around you as inspiration! Look for the Golden Ratio, Fibonacci Sequence, or other patterns in the surrounding art, architecture, music, everyday objects, or in nature (even in humans!). Provide an image, photograph of the object, or a copy of the score and a 4-5 sentence paragraph explaining how your discovery incorporates the pattern.Part 2
You have seen several examples of the Golden Ratio and other patterns in the fine arts. Create a work of art (drawing, musical composition, etc) that incorporates the Golden Ratio, Fibonacci Sequence, or another pattern of your choosing on an 11x17 poster. Then, provide a 4-5 sentence paragraph explaining how your work of art incorporates the pattern.
By the end of class on Wednesday, you should have all of the content you need in order to complete the requirements of the project. You should spend Thursday creating your poster and making sure it is up to par aesthetically. Projects are due on Monday, at the beginning of class. You may submit your project any time prior to that.
