Monday 10/3

On Monday, we will be taking the BOY Exam.  This is an exam used to set a baseline for progress throughout the year, so there is no need to try and study for it.

I am required to give you the full period to complete the exam, but for many, the exam does not take the full period.  Consequently, you should bring something else to work on in case you complete the exam early.  I would recommend bringing your Geometry book and making sure your homework is completed for the upcoming homework check.

On an unrelated note, many of you have expressed that you did not have enough time to finish the quiz from Friday 9/23.  I am willing to offer students an additional 15 minutes after school on Monday and Tuesday, on a first come, first served basis from 3:25-3:40.  If you can't make either of these times you will need to set up an alternative before end-of-day on Monday.

I also wanted to remind you of the outstanding offer to complete the Algebra curriculum on Khan Academy for extra credit.  This opportunity will only be available up till 11/02, the week of the end of the first quarter (date may change depending on possible strike).  Don't miss out on this opportunity to brush up on some essential algebra and get a few extra points in the process!

Oh, and don't forget - I'm looking to collect the in-class work from Friday tomorrow.  Make sure to read all of the directions carefully!
